Police & Sheriff Calls for April 18-22
April 18
Mystery Bag: At 2:41 p.m. a call was made from a business on the 4600 block of 8th St. South regarding a baggie with a “mysterious” white substance found in the doorway.
Hoop Dreams Detour: At 4:45 p.m. a complaint was made from the area of 9th St. North and Prospect St. concerning a basketball hoop that was allegedly too close to the road. The caller felt it was a hazard.
Who Let the Hens Out?: A call was made from the 2300 block of Kingston Rd. to report that a number of guinea hens had been running around the area and into people’s yards.
April 19
Unleashed: At 2:18 p.m. a complaint was made from Sandlot Park to report a man who was running around with two dogs without leashes.
Freak Out: At 9:18 p.m. a call was made from the 600 block of 12th St. South to report a man who was “freaking out” and was scratching his face on a fence line.
Car vs. Pole: A report was made of an accident in the area of 25th Ave. South and W. Grand Ave. regarding a man who drove into a pole.
April 20
Friendly GTA: At 11:45 a.m. a call was made from the 600 block of 10th Ave. North to report that her friend had borrowed her car but never returned it; she wished to report it stolen.
Tomato Juice: At 4:09 p.m. a complaint was made from the 2600 block of 10th St. South regarding a neighbor who threw tomato juice all over the caller’s front door while she was away.
Egged: At 7:55 p.m. a call was made from the 500 block of 7th Ave. South to report scratches on his vehicle from three years ago, as well as the recent egging of the same vehicle.
April 21
Day Drinking: At 2:24 p.m. a call was made from a business on the 4800 block of 8th St. South to report that four intoxicated men were in the store, and just left in a pickup truck headed south.
Pizza Fraud: A call was made from the 600 block of Oak St. to report three people who ordered pizza, only to pay for it with a check from a closed account.
Passed Out: At 1:47 a.m. a report was made from downtown that a man was passed out in is vehicle.
April 22
UFC Hopeful: At 2:30 p.m. an arrest was made of a man who threatened to kill officers, claiming he was UFC fighter.
Counterfeit: At 6:30 p.m. a grocery store on Baker St. reported receiving a $50 bill that was allegedly counterfeit.
