Mid-State to Celebrate Grand Opening of New Student Services & Information Center
For the City Times
Open house and tours will showcase how The Center supports student success
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Construction on the new Student Services & Information Center started in June of 2016 and was completed this March.
Also known as “The Center,” the 5,400 square-foot addition and 4,200 square foot remodel has given the main entrance a newly modern and welcoming look. More importantly, the center allows Mid-State to centralize all student services and is a key part of a comprehensive plan to better connect students to the resources they need. The Foundation & Alumni donor wall was also recently redesigned to add 31 new donors and advance 30 previous donors to the next giving level.
Event includes:
- Ribbon cutting
- Remarks
- Unveiling of the new Foundation donor wall
- Guided tours
- Unguided tours / open house
- Refreshments
Most activities will occur between noon and 1:30 p.m., with the open house continuing until 4:00 p.m. On hand will be Mid-State President Dr. Sue Budjac, Mid-State Foundation & Alumni Director Jill Steckbauer, Mid-State Vice President of Student Services Amanda Lang, and Mid-State Foundation President Tom Ekelin.
