WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Three Riverkings have been inked for the 2017-18 season.

The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings have announced the re-signing of players Rich Young, Kyle Smith, and defenseman Brett DeLaat.

“Young is a hard hitting forward with size, smarts, and heavy shot,” said Riverkings Head Coach Marty Quarters. “Smith was the youngest defenseman, who is a strong skating ‘D’ with untapped offensive ability. Both players looks to build off what we learned last season and are slotted to play key roles.”

DeLaat played his best hockey at the end of the season and through the playoffs which is a great indication for next season. DeLatt is a big 6’3″ D and can skate and make the first pass.

According to Quarters, DeLaat looks to be one of the top veteran D in the league.
