For the City Times

Be a hero by donating blood at an Aspirus Riverview Hospital community blood drive.

Blood drives are held twice monthly in the hospital’s lower level conference center. The May blood drives will be Tuesday, May 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Monday, May 22, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. No appointment is needed. To accommodate donors, there are six donor chairs available.

Anyone with questions regarding their blood donation eligibility is encouraged to call the Blood Center of Northcentral Wisconsin’s toll-free number at 866-566-5900. People with medical conditions, are taking any medications, or have had piercings in the last 12 months are asked to call the toll-free number before attending a blood drive to find out if they are eligible to donate.

Aspirus Riverview Hospital partners with the Blood Center of Northcentral Wisconsin to continue our community’s long tradition of saving lives through blood donation. Blood donated at the Aspirus Riverview Hospital blood drives is used to help patients in our own community, as well as throughout central Wisconsin.
