Pfahning Named Aspirus Cancer Center Director

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mary Pfahning, RN, BSN, OCN of Wisconsin Rapids, has been named Director of Aspirus UW Cancer Center.
Pfahning joined Aspirus Riverview Hospital in 2002, and has been with the cancer center since 2005 in a variety of nursing roles. Most recently, she served as the coordinator of the center’s cancer research program.
In her new position, Pfahning oversees the operation of the cancer center. Aspirus UW Cancer Center is a department of Aspirus Riverview Hospital and maintains affiliation with the University of Wisconsin system.
Pfahning earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from UW-Eau Claire in 1999, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in nursing degree from Concordia University. As an Oncology Certified Nurse since 2007, Pfahning brings clinical expertise to the cancer center. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society.
