Rapid Fire: Your Top Five Weekend Events

Here is a rundown of the top events happening this weekend in Wisconsin Rapids.

Friday, May 19-21
Steel Magnolias — 7:30 p.m.

-If you missed it last week, make sure to catch the last performance of the 2016-2017 season from the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre. For more information, please click here.

Friday, May 19-21
Assumption High School’s Royal Event — (hours vary)

-A weekend of celebration from Assumption High School. Catch the Spicy Tie Band on Friday night at 5:30 p.m., with music from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The 5K “Tracks for Trina” walk/run will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. On Sunday, join Assumption for “good ol’ fashioned family fun” with raffles, vendors, a petting zoo, kids carnival, basket boutique, and more. Event kicks off as Assumption High School at 9:00 a.m.

Friday, May 19-20
Port Edwards Community-Wide Garage Sale — 12:00 p.m.

-Head to Port Edwards for their annual community-wide garage sale. Items from all walks of life will be on sale. There will be over 100 garage sales in the area. Port Edwards is located approximately four miles from Wisconsin Rapids.

Saturday, May 20
Choose-To-Reuse Event — 8:00 a.m.

-The annual Choose-To-Reuse event is back. Discard everything from tires, electronics, appliances, and more — as well as pick up reused items for your home. This will take place at the Grand Rapids garage, located at 2811 Two Mile Ave.

Saturday, May 20
“One Night With You” Elvis Tribute — 6:00 p.m.
