Manage your medications safe and easily

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – How many medications do you take? Do you have one of those weekly or monthly med planners? Do you worry about a family member who takes medication? Are you sure he or she is taking them on time in the right dose? How would you know if a medication was missed?

Medication management can be a challenge for family caregivers. One of the benefits of living in an assisted living community is having trained staff members manage medications.

Jason Gruszynski, owner and pharmacist at Daly Drug in Wisconsin Rapids, has developed an at-home medication management program similar to what assisted living facilities provide to residents. Daly Drug pharmacists will package medications in an easy-to-use fashion and deliver them to your home or your loved one’s home. They will provide the documentation and instruction you need to help make medication administration easier and safer.

Gruszynski will explain this program and how it can benefit you and your loved one at the next Let’s Learn Together session, at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at Hilltop Grand Village, 1400 24th St. S., Wisconsin Rapids. (Enter by Home Depot.) Refreshments will be served, and there will be time for questions.

There is no charge to attend, and the public is welcome.

Let’s Learn Together sessions are recorded and air on Wisconsin Rapids Public Media at 9 a.m. Mondays and 11 a.m. Wednesdays on Solarus Channel 3 and Charter Channel 985.
