By Joe Bachman
WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Kids to Parks Day is back and will again be a part of this weekend’s Blossomfest activities.
Sponsored by the city, Mayor’s Youth Council, and the National Park Trust, the day promises to be full of activities for community youth. The event will be held on Saturday, June 17, from 1 PM to 3 PM at Robinson Park. According to Executive Coordinator Jennifer Clark, the goal is to encourage children to get outdoors.
“This event is the second annual Kids to Park Day, to encourage children and families to get outdoors and play,” said Clark. “There will be activities such as kick ball, disc golf, nature hunt, arts and crafts and more.”
McMillan Library will also contribute to the event with an activity of their own, though that activity is currently unannounced. Light refreshments will be on hand for kids and adults.
