Rapid Fire: Independence Day Edition

Here is a rundown of your top weekend Fourth of July events happening this weekend and over the holiday.

Saturday, July 1
Fresh Rides Mini Car Show — 8:00 a.m.
-For some, there may be nothing better than good food and a clean car — now is your chance. Fresh Rides Automotive Detailing will be hosting a car show, cookout and car wash at 2030 Chestnut St. 75 percent of proceeds will go to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

Saturday, July 1-4
Rafters Baseball vs. Rockford/Fond Du Lac — 7:00 p.m.
-Defending champion Wisconsin Rapids Rafters will be hosting a home stretch this weekend. Saturday they take on the Fond Du Lac Dock Spiders, and on Monday and Tuesday they host the Rockford Rivets. Tuesday’s game will be played at 3:05 p.m.

Tuesday, July 4
Aqua Skiers Annual ‘4th on 1st’ Celebration — 1:00 p.m.
-Join the Aqua Skiers as they kick off the fourth with food vendors, raffles, and beer. At 5:30 p.m., award winning country music band ‘Branded’ will play the area up until the fireworks display.

Tuesday, July 4
4th of July at Hollyrocks with Greenbury Luck — 8:00 p.m.-
-If you aren’t a country music fan, Hollyrocks will be hosting their own party with special guests Greenbury Luck. Hollyrock’s is located at 114 Second St. North.

Tuesday, July 4
Wisconsin Rapids City Band — 7:00 p.m.
-If you want to get away from it all for a little bit, join the Wisconsin Rapids City Band as they play the Centralia Center, located at 221 Third Ave. South.
