PORT EDWARDS — Dates and times have been announced for the 13th annual Port Fun Fest.
The event kicks off on August 11 at 6PM with the annual car cruise-in, ending at the United Methodist Church, 411 Wisconsin River Dr. At 7PM ice cream and pie will be served alongside live music.
Events are free, though donations for ice cream and pie will be accepted to go towards the Wisconsin Rapids food pantry. The Port Lions will sell their special sandwiches for those with a heartier appetite.
On Saturday, August 12, Edwards Alexander Park will host activities, starting at 9AM for all ages. Various local vendors will be on hand, as well as a raffle, second car cruise-in, and a bouncy house for kids.
Also on display will be a monarch tent for educational purposes, as Port Edwards is the first certified monarch village in the United States. Admission for this day is also free.
“We, as a volunteer committee work very hard to get sponsors to help offset the costs of this event, and are very fortunate to have so many respondents which shows their commitment of Unity in the Community which is our mission statement.” said Kathy Cronkite in Port Fun Fest press release.
The proceeds will continue to be shared by the local food pantry and the Village of Port Edwards Projects. For more information please contact Kathy at 715-887-3722.
