UPDATE: Dates Announced for Red Sands Beach Closures

City Times Staff

Wood County Parks & Forestry Department have announced the dates of Red Sands beach closures for this summer.

Most Red Sands beach closures are from 4:30 p.m. to dark and was approved by the Highway Infrastructure and Recreation Committee for use by the Aqua Skiers for show practices and the coming State Tournament.

Red Sands Beach Closures for Summer

Sunday, June 11 – 4:30 p.m.
Monday, June 12 – 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 18 – 4:30 p.m.
Monday, June 19 – 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 25 – 4:30 p.m.
Monday, June 26 – 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 2 – 4:30 p.m.
Monday, July 3 – 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 9 – 4:30 p.m.
Monday, July 10 – 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 11 – 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, July 12 – 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 6 — 4:30 p.m.

From Saturday, July 15 through Tuesday, July 25, the beach will be closed all day. Thursday, July 20-23 the beach and the lake will be closed all day. If the Aqua Skiers qualify for nationals, they will use the beach from July 30 — August 9.
