Police & Sheriff Calls for July 17
Sign Damage: At 6:22 a.m. the city was notified that a traffic standard had been knocked down in the area of High St. and W. Riverview Expressway, though the caller did not see how it happened.
Family Fight: At 12:40 p.m. a call was made from the 700 block Chase St. to report that an older family member had punched her.
The Bird: At 1:43 p.m. a call was made to dispatch to report an erratic driver in the area of Peach St. that had been weaving in and out of traffic and “flipping people off”.
Dryer Fire: At 3:31 p.m. a call was made to authorities to report a dryer fire for the second time that day in a laundromat on 17th Ave. South.
Parked and Wrecked: At 12:56 a.m. an accident was reported on the 700 block of Chase St. where one vehicle struck a parked car.
