U-12 Rapids Kickers Take Home USA Schwan’s Cup

BLANIE, MINN. — The Boys U-12 Wisconsin Rapids Kickers took home the Schwan’s Cup this past weekend.
Competing in the Boys U-12 9v9 C-Flight tournament, the Kickers picked up six wins on the way the finals, where they defeated Lakes United FC out of Lindstrom, Minn. with a 2-1 victory. The Kickers put up 22 goals over the weekend, and only allowed five overall.

Their squad is coached by Jon Byom & Aaron Dunn.
In U-14 competition, the Lady Kickers only allowed one goal all weekend and finish in fifth place out of 16 teams. The squad is coached by Jose Layo Montoya, and Wisconsin Rapids Fire Chief David Kerkman.
