United Way Seeking Volunteers to Help Homeless
City Times Staff
WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Volunteers are need for a Homeless Point-in-Time (PIT) next week.
On Wednesday, July 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., volunteers will be assigned an area in Wisconsin Rapids to conduct interviews with the homeless, while offering information on important resources.
Volunteers will travel in groups of 3-4 people, and must at least 18-years-old to participate. Interested parties must attend a training held on July 26 at 10:15 a.m. Some extended walking is to be expected during the PIT, so it is encouraged that volunteers dress for the weather and bring a flash light.
If you would like to be a volunteer, please contact the United Way of Inner Wisconsin’s Volunteer Center at 715-421-0390 or send an email to [email protected].
