Local Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

SIGEL — A 54-year-old man is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash last night in the Town of Sigel.
According to a sheriff’s press release, at approximately 10:34 p.m. authorities responded to the area of Lone Pine Rd. on County Highway F over reports of a motorcycle crash. Once arrived, officers and emergency crew found a man laying next to a motorcycle in a nearby ditch.
It was determined that the man, identified as Robert Quinnell Jr., had died at the scene of the accident as a result of the crash. According to reports, the motorcycle entered the grassy part of the road shoulder and continued into the ditch. The motorcycle was overturned, and the driver was ejected.
The accident remains under investigation. Agencies who responded to the crash include the Wood Co. Sheriff’s Department, Wood Co. Sheriff’s Rescue, United Ambulance, Rudolph Fire Department, Rudolph EMS, and Wood Co. Coroner.
