Police & Sheriff Calls for Aug. 1 & 2

Aug. 1
Computer Virus: At 1:23 p.m. authorities were notified by a caller on the 3400 block of Ninth St. South that they had a computer virus.
Speed Racer: At 6:40 p.m. a complaint was made regarding a driver on Eighth St. South allegedly doing 75 mph. The driver quickly pulled into a nearby gas station.
Car vs. Hydrant: A call was made late by Witter Field to report an accident where a vehicle struck a fire hydrant. There was no damage to the hydrant, but damage to the vehicle.
On the Floor: At 11:04 p.m. police were called from a tavern on Eighth St. South to report a very intoxicated man that was refused service, and had fallen on the floor. The man was unable to get up.

Lost Bike: At 10:53 a.m. a report was made outside of a store on the 3200 block of Eighth St. South regarding a little girl’s bike that had been in front of the store for a few days.
Gas Thief: At 5:12 p.m. a report was made from a gas station on the 4600 block of Eighth St. South regarding the theft of $10 in gas.
Late Night Nap: At 11:52 p.m. a call was made from the 2500 block of W. Grand Ave. to report two people “passed out” in a vehicle.
