Here’s a rundown of a packed weekend in Wisconsin Rapids
Thursday, August 3
Hollyrock’s National IPA Day — 5:00 p.m.
-Celebrate National IPA Day with a host of IPA’s by multiple vendors. Pints, flights, and prizes will be offered through the night. Hollyrock’s is located at 114 Second St. North.
Friday, August 4
Down at the Zoo — 8:30 a.m.
-Held at the Wisconsin Rapids Municipal Zoo, 1911 Gaynor Ave., this event is family-friendly and offers a hike through fields of farm animals. Sing-alongs, arts and cratfs, as well as storytelling will complete the morning. For more information, please call 715-421-8240.
Saturday, August 5
Wisconsin Rapids Car Cruise — 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
-Gates will open at Lincoln High open at 1:30 p.m. Car Cruise starts at 4:00 p.m. This cruise will begin at Lincoln High School and end at Grand Rapids Lions Park. The Spicy Tie Band will perform live after the cruise at 7:00 p.m. at Grand Rapids Lions Park.
Saturday & Sunday, August 5-6
The Snow White Variety Show — 7:00 p.m.
-Youth production “The Snow White Variety Show” runs this weekend at the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre. Sunday matinee will be at 2:00 p.m. The theatre is located at 220 Third Ave. South. For more information, please click here.
Saturday & Sunday, August 5-6
Rafters Baseball vs. Kenosha Kingfish — 6:00 p.m.
-With the season winding down, there aren’t many opportunities left to catch a Rafters game before they head into the NWL playoffs. On Saturday and Sunday they host the Kenosha Kingfish. Sunday’s game is at 4:00 p.m. Both games will be held at the historic Witter Field.
Sunday, August 6
Aqua Skiers Season Finale — 6:00 p.m.
-The Wisconsin Rapids Aqua Skiers will be performing their last show of the season this Sunday. They will also be presenting a check to Tom Sachs in honor of his military service to send him on the Never Forgotten Honor Flight. You can catch the action at Lake Wazeecha, 6411 South Park Rd.
