Schwarz is a native of Wood Dale, Ill., and picked up 14 goals and 15 assists last year playing for division rival Dells Ducks. This will be his third year in the United States Premier Hockey League.

“Cory plays a mature, heavy game with a hard shot and good ice vision,” said Head Coach Marty Quarters. “The tough veteran will be looked at to add leadership both on and off the ice this season.”

The Riverkings also signed 6’4, 210 pound Jacob Gaydos out of Sandusky, Ohio. Gaydos is a highly rated prospect who played two seasons for the Columbus Blue Jackets in tier I competition.

“With Jacobs size, skating ability and hockey sense he is projected to be one of the top defenseman in the USPHL.” said Coach Quarters.”
