WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The USPHL Division Champion Riverkings were very hard for opponents to score on last season; and this year will be no exception.

With all-star goalie Erik Schuette returning, the Riverkings have added two top tier goalies to the roster. Not only will the 6’1 20-year-old have multiple NCAA opportunities at his fingertips, but he’ll be getting help from Toronto native and Hill Academy grad Dom Paciocco, and Fort Wayne, Ind. native Parker Rutherford.

“He is coming off an impressive season having helped lead the Hill Academy to a league championship,” said Head Coach Marty Quarters. “Dom is both a hard worker and great student and also brings a strong pedigree having played for some of Ontario’s top AAA programs. Dom is a good first save goalie with sound positioning and is known for always giving his team a chance to win.”

Rutherford was considered a top goalie in the National Capital Junior Hockey League (NCJHL) last season, and looks to complete the triple threat in goalie for a deep Riverkings run this year.

“He is quiet but very hardworking and has the ability to make the second and third save due to his focus.”

Hockey season is closing in, with the first practice being held on Aug. 28. For more information, please visit riverkingshockey.com
