WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Last year’s Division Champions keep adding to an already stacked roster.

The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings have added a group of forwards to the squad this year, the first of whom is two-year Eastern Hockey League forward Xander Mavrogiannis. According to Head Coach Marty Quarters, the Massachusetts native brings a strong offensive skill set deriving from his hockey sense and ice vision.

Also inked, is Tristan Hillebert, a 6 foot 185 pound forward who played his last two seasons for Richmond in the USPHL.

“Tristan brings speed, and a hard working, hard to play against mentality.” said Quarters.

Rounding out the list, Ty Gillen is a 6’3 power forward who should fit right in with the Riverkings culture of fast and physical hockey. To compliment Gillan, Jesse Edwards is a Rochester, N.Y. native who according to Quarters will add “speed, skill and offense” to the crew. Lastly, the Riverkings have signed rookie Colorado native Dylan Nurse.

“Dylan brings outstanding speed, skill and a high motor and is a welcome addition to a strong and well balanced team of forwards loaded with 11 Junior veterans and a common theme of speed, skill, and an intense compete level.”
