Police & Sheriff Calls for Aug. 11-13

Aug. 11
Party Suit: At 3:02 p.m. a complaint was made that a man on the 100 block of 14th Ave. North was running outside naked. The man allegedly told police that he was outside putting air in his tires when his shorts fell down, and does not make a habit of running around in the nude.
Ruff Ryder: At 8:03 p.m. dispatch was notified of a motorcycle that speeds through the area of Sixth St. South in the late hours and is very loud.
Refer Madness: At 8:08 p.m. police were informed of a nearby apartment that allegedly smelled of marijuana. Officers would find no smell, nor anyone smoking marijuana.
Burnouts: At 9:19 p.m. a call was made from a business parking lot on the 2000 block of Eighth St. South to report individuals riding on the bumper of a blazer. Another vehicle; a red jeep, was reported to have been doing burnouts.
Aug. 12
Asleep at the Wheel: At 8:12 a.m. police were notified of a man who had allegedly fallen asleep at the stop lights in the area of 26th St. North.
Phantom Barks: At 11:13 p.m. a call was made from the 300 block of 19th Ave. South regarding dogs constantly parking from a nearby residence. Police arrived to find the area quiet.
Lobby Nap: At 2:23 a.m. a call was placed to emergency services concerning an intoxicated man who passed out in a hotel lobby on E. Grand Ave. The man is okay, and was taken to his room.
False Alarm: A call was made late into the night regarding potential underage drinking at a residence on Eighth Ave. North. Police would find no wrongdoing or underage drinking happening at the residence.
Aug. 13
Crime of Passion: At 8:46 a.m. a complaint was made from the 2700 block of Third St. South to report that a caller’s daughter’s ex-boyfriend had smashed a window out of her vehicle.
Wheel Toss: At 2:51 p.m. authorities were notified of a group of kids at the Witter Field Skate Park throwing around a bicycle tire until it bounced onto Eighth St. South.
Drunk Driving: At 8:35 p.m. a complaint was made in the area of State Highway 73 in Saratoga concerning a driver behind them who looked to have been drinking while swerving all over the road.
Breakdown: At 10:31 p.m. a call was made to dispatch from the 600 block of 12th St. North regarding a man asking to use the caller’s phone due to his car breaking down. However, the caller noted that the man had a cell phone in his hand.
