Aug. 18

Purse Thieves: At 4:03 p.m. a report was made from the 2000 block of Second Ave. South concerning two individuals who were seen stealing a purse out of someone’s vehicle.

Church Vandal: At 7:07 p.m. a call was made regarding the broken window of a church located on the 800 block of First St. North.

Facebook Folly: At 1:28 a.m. police were notified of a man living on the 1000 block of 28th St. North that had been receiving harassing text and Facebook messages.

No. of Accidents Reported: 1

Aug. 19

Late Night: At 6:36 a.m. a call was made regarding an expected drunk driver in the area of Hale St. by the Riverview Expressway. The driver hit the curb, and had been allegedly stumbling when he got out of the vehicle.

Peep Show: At 12:11 p.m. dispatch was notified of a man who had been allegedly exposing himself while driving down Eighth St. South. to an employ at a nearby business.

Nightcrawlers: At 9:12 p.m. a caller informed authorities of two individuals crawling around the outside of the courthouse.

Knock Knock: A call was made late into the evening to report a man pounding on the door of an upstairs residence for quite some time.

Aug. 20

Hit and Run: A call was made early in the morning to report that a driver had hit him on Highway 54 and kept going.

Flag Thief: At 10:47 a.m. a report was made from the 300 block of 14th St. South concerning the theft of a flag and pole from outside of the residence.

Gas Thief: Dispatch was notified of a gas drive-off in the amount of $7.02 from a store on the 1700 block of 17th Ave. South.
