First State Bank to Donate $20 to Local Schools for Every New Checking Account Opened

NEW LONDON – First State Bank recently announced it will donate $20 to local schools for every new personal checking account opened now through October 6, 2017. This is the second year the bank has offered the school donation challenge.
“We’re very excited to be able to offer the school donation challenge once again.” said Brenda Hansen, vice president of marketing. “Last year a total of $1,000 was donated to public and parochial schools in our local communities. We’re looking forward to do much more in 2017.”
