WISCONSIN RAPIDS — According to a Wisconsin Rapids Police Department press release, Assumption High School principal Paul Klinkhammer is likely to be charged with a bomb scare.

On Aug. 30, the WRPD received a call from a representative from Pearson Educational Co. in Chandler, Ariz. about an alleged bomb threat made by a caller to their company. This caller became overly frustrated with the customer support phone system and company staff, and made a threat about bombing their software company.

The person identified as the caller was 67-year-old Assumption Principal Paul Klinkhammer.

Police gathered statements from Klinkhammer, and a Pearson Educational Co. representative, and a formal request for charges has been sent to the Wood Co. District Attorney. Police noted that Klinkhammer did not make any threats to Assumption High School.

Stay tuned for updates.
