Police & Sheriff Calls for Sept. 8-9
Sept. 8
Soapy Milk: At 10:40 a.m. a complaint was made from the 1400 block of 22nd Ave. South that someone had put soap in her dry milk.
No Parking: At 7:35 p.m. dispatch was notified of a semi-truck parked in the middle of the left turn lane on Eighth St. South. There was no indication that anyone was inside the truck, nor any flashers on.
Drug Deal?: At 12:52 a.m. a call was made concerning alleged drug deals by four black men at a bar on Eighth St. South. However, this was unfounded.
Gunshots: At 3:19 a.m. a call was made to police to inform them of two gunshots heard in the area of Cindy Ct.
Sept. 9
Doggy Hotel: At 7:06 a.m. a complaint was made from a hotel on E. Grand Ave. regarding a husky with no tags who walked into the building.
Noise Complaint: At 4:39 p.m. a complaint was made regarding the loud music coming from Witter Field during the Rushing Rapids Craft Beer Festival on Saturday.
That Smell: At 11:10 p.m. dispatch was notified of the smell of marijuana coming from a hotel room on Eighth St. South. These reported were unfounded.
Long Night: At 1:00 a.m. a call was to inform police of an intoxicated man in the area of Franklin St. who had been walking around, waving his arms, and talking to himself.
