Topic is one of several explored in Speaker Series from Mid-State Technical College

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – September is Suicide Prevention Month, and an upcoming presentation from Mid-State Technical College titled “Saving Lives through Suicide Intervention” sets out to address this leading cause of death.

Participants will learn about tools to combat the problem and build intervention skills that form the basis of “suicide first aid.” The presentation takes place Thursday, Sept. 14, at 5:30 p.m. at the College’s Marshfield campus.

The session is part of an ongoing series bringing Mid-State’s expertise on topics currently relevant to the community. There is no need to register to attend this or any presentation in Mid-State’s Speaker Series, and all sessions are free and open to the public.

Find information about this and other upcoming topics at www.mstc.edu/speaker-series.
