Mid-State Trapshoot Fundraiser Aims High for Student Grant Programs

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College hosted its second annual Trapshoot Fundraiser on Sept. 8, raising over $3,000 for emergency grant programs that benefit students in financial need.
The event was organized by the College’s Foundation & Alumni office and held at the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association in Nekoosa. Participation in the fundraiser doubled from the previous year, according to Jill Steckbauer, director of Foundation & Alumni, who explained that 92 percent of all students who receive emergency funding stay in school and complete their diploma.
“It’s exciting to see this unique fundraiser grow,” she said. “Our supporters and volunteers made this a safe and successful event, and it wouldn’t have been possible without their belief in the Foundation and the students at Mid-State.”
