Royals Bounce Back to Overtake Gilman

GILMAN — After a tough loss last week, Assumption pulled even to 3-3 with a road win over Gilman on Friday night.
Fueled by scores by Cole Statz and John Gudelis, Assumption took a comfortable 14-0 halftime lead. With a defensive playing near shutout football and an additional contribution from Teddy Ashbeck, the Royals held their ground, as they pick up a crucial road win a final score of 22-6.
The Royals move up the rankings in the Cloverwood conference, and will look to make it two straight as they head to last place Greenwood High School next week.
