WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Defending Midwest Champion Riverkings outscored their opponent 17-3 over this weekend in a dominate performance.
After a 10-2 on Friday night, the Riverkings continued to show why they are the favorites going into this year in the Premier Division of the USPHL. Saturday night’s 7-1 win over the Hudson Havoc was no different.
After an early goal by Ryan Mantz, he would start the momentum that would carry the rest of the game. Adam Peterson would soon find the back of the net two straight times, both with assists from Mantz and Austyn Quarters.
Cory Schwarz and Ryan Young contributed goals to the effort, as well, as the Riverkings found themselves up 5-0 by the start of the second period. Brett DeLatt scored his first goal of the year late in the third, as well as Alexander Mavrogaiannis in a late goal.
The Riverkings will take their hot start into Spooner this weekend to take on the Wisconsin Muskies.
