Red Raiders Roll to Third Straight Win
City Times Staff
WAUSAU — Lincoln picked up their third straight win on Friday night with a 48-36 win over Wausau West.
This win cements their place atop the Valley West Conference, and moves the Red Raiders to 5-2 on the year. Nash Coombs opened up the game for Lincoln, building on last week’s momentum with two opening touchdowns.
Running back Isaac Pelot would also contribute two of his own, but eventually, the game was given to star wideout Isaiah Westfall. Westfall would score three straight touchdowns, including a 64-yard bomb from Jacob Mancl.
At one point Lincoln led by 23 points, though Wausau West battled back. However, in the end, it wasn’t enough to overcome the red & scarlet attack. Next week, the first place Red Raiders are finally home after a successful road trip, as they take on division rival SPASH.
