For the City Times

Aspirus Riverview Hospital will host a series of Gentle Yoga classes beginning October 26.

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Gentle Yoga participants learn to become stronger and more flexible. The class’ gentle, flowing movements involve time standing as well as on hands and knees. The class is designed to help with healing, sleep and relaxation.  All classes are led by a registered yoga instructor.

Classes will be held from 4:30 to 5:15 PM or from 5:30 to 6:15 PM on Thursdays, Oct. 26 through Dec. 7 (no class Nov. 23). The cost of the six-session series is $36 ($30 for those 60 and over, Aspirus employees and volunteers, and Aspirus Riverview Auxilians).

Gentle Yoga registration opens Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 8 AM. Participants may register and pay by credit card at aspirus.org/classes or by check or exact cash (no credit cards) at Aspirus Riverview Hospital’s front desk. Early registration is recommended, as space is limited. Only one registration per person is accepted. A signed waiver is required (available at the first class). Minors require the signature of a parent /guardian.
