Here is your top five events for a busy weekend in the Wisconsin Rapids area.

Friday, Oct. 6
Rapids Football vs. SPASH
-With Lincoln on the verge of clinching the Valley West Conference, there’s no better time for a matchup against division rival SPASH than this weekend. Catch the action at 7:00 p.m. at SWC 2000 Field, 1801 16th St. South.

Friday, Oct. 6-8
‘Escanaba in da Moonlight’
-If you missed Jeff Daniels’ tribute to yoopers last weekend, catch the show this weekend at the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre. For more information, check out WRCT to Run ‘Escanaba in da Moonlight’ for Fall Production

Saturday, Oct. 7-8
Nekoosa Giant Pumpkin Fest
-Celebrating 20 years, this annual event is back with the usual affair of dropping giant pumpkins, as well as an array of fall activities. For more information, check out Nekoosa Pumpkin Fest Celebrates 20th Year

Saturday, Oct. 7
Freddie’s Roctoberfest
-Hit Freddie’s Pub & Eatery for Roctoberfest — a night of live music, beer, and special Oktoberfest shots. Freddie’s is located at 2010 Chestnut St.

Saturday, Oct. 7
Aspirus Oktoberfest
-In their second year, Aspirus will host their own Oktoberfest, held at Bull’s Eye Country Club, 2800 Ridgewood Trail. Live polka will be on throughout the day, as well as an evening performance from Southbound. Admission is $15. For more information, please call 715-421-7488.
