For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – January is a time for renewal and growth, and for many this means starting their education with Mid-StateTechnical College.

To help people prepare for this step and get to know the college, Mid-State is hosting a number of Meet Me @ Mid-State events starting this month. At each event, participants tour a Mid-State campus, apply for free—a savings of $30—and sign up for a STAR advising and registration session.

Anyone interested in attending can show up to a Mid-State campus at 3PM or 5PM on Wednesday, Oct. 11, with several other Wednesday events scheduled through November.

Meet Me @ Mid-State events are part of the college’s greater efforts to redesign its enrollment process and student services to more quickly connect students with the resources they need to be successful. According to Mid-State dean of Enrollment, Kerry Froehlich-Mueller, Meet Me @ Mid-State is perfect for busy people who want to explore the college and its programs.

“Attending Meet Me @Mid-State is the best way to quickly learn if Mid-State is right for you and how we can help when it comes to achieving your educational goals and an in-demand career.”

There is no need to sign up in advance for Meet Me @Mid-State events. All times are available at each of Mid-State’s campuses in Marshfield, Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids. For more information and a complete list of Meet Me dates, visitwww.mstc.edu/meetme or contact the Student Services & Information Center at 888.575.6782.
