Police & Sheriff Calls for Oct. 4-5

Hanging Out: At 10:32 a.m. a report was made of a suspicious man in a white vehicle who had been “hanging out” at Robinson Park. Police would find that the man was simply on his break.
Hit and Run: At 2:12 a.m. police were notified of a hit and run accident involving a neighbor on Grove Ave. who allegedly bent a piece of the caller’s motorcycle and then took off.
Gumball Thieves: A call was made from a business on the 2100 block of Eighth St. South to report that two teenagers attempted to steal a gumball machine from the lobby. They stopped when told that they were on camera.
Pavement Nap: At 3:12 a.m. dispatch was informed a man sleeping on the side of the road on the corner of Second St. South and Maple.

Clowning Around: After a prior report of a clown in the area of Eighth St. South early in the morning, another was received regarding a clown who had chased a caller’s daughter by the bust stop at Plover St.
Tire Squealer: At 9:17 p.m. a complaint was made regarding a small truck driving around the area of Chestnut St. loudly squealing their tires.
Pusher: At 3:47 p.m. a call was made to police regarding a man who had allegedly pushed a woman in a store parking lot on E. Riverview Expressway.
Late Hour Barking: At 1:28 a.m. dispatch was notified of a dog that had been barking loudly for over an hour at a residence on Shady Ln.
