Preserve the past for your family

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Which memories have you shared with your family? Do they know about your childhood? Have they heard stories about your parents and grandparents? How can you save those family stories for your children or grandchildren?

Join local history writer Rhonda Whetstone for a session called Preserving the Past. She will be the guest speaker at the October Let’s Learn Together session at Hilltop Grand Village. She will share ideas on how to preserve family memories and mementos and show examples of ways to display memorabilia.

Preserving the Past will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at Hilltop Grand Village, 1400 24th St. S., Wisconsin Rapids. (Enter by Home Depot.) Refreshments will be served, and there will be time for questions.

There is no charge to attend, and the public is welcome. Let’s Learn Together is a monthly speaker series that explores topics of interest in the community.

Most Let’s Learn Together sessions are recorded and air on Wisconsin Rapids Community Media at 9 a.m. Mondays and 11 a.m. Wednesdays on Solarus Channel 3 and Charter Channel 985. They also are available on demand on YouTube.

For more information, call Mystique at 715-423-7400 or go to www.hilltopgrandvillage.com.
