‘Haunted Jailhouse’ to Take Over Community Theatre This Weekend

“Prepare to be scared.”
WISCONSIN RAPIDS — As Halloween fast approaches, so does the fearful fun of haunted houses.
The fifth annual haunted house will open up this weekend at the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre. Every year brings a different theme, and this year will be a ‘haunted jailhouse‘. However, this year will be not so much geared towards children as in the past, but towards teenagers.
“This one’s not for the little ones,” said Ellen Roeseler, Executive Director, “We recommend junior high and up, in general. Obviously it’s up to mom and dad to make the call. But this is pretty scary for little kids.”
The WRCT Haunted House is youth directed and run, with adults to help oversee things and make sure the technical aspects of the house are running smoothly.
Haunted Jailhouse is open from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21 and 27 and from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Saturday the 22 and 28. Tickets are $7, and can only be purchased at the door.
Groups will be taken through on a first-come basis. Please contact the WRCT office at 715-421-0435 with questions, or check out the website at www.wrctheatre.org.
