WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Dozens celebrated the official move to the River Block offices on Jackson St. on Wednesday afternoon.

Hosted by the Heart of the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce, the networking event saw members from the Wood Co. Board, city officials, and chamber members on hand. Many Wood County departments moved from multiple locations into the River Block during the summer.

“We wanted to take the opportunity to welcome everybody to the river block today. This has been a monumental effort to help stabilize the downtown while consolidating all of our human services, health departments, parks offices and land conservation to a single location,” said County Board Chairman Lance Pliml. “We hope it serves the community better — we think it will; we have a beautiful location.”

The River Block offices are located at 111 W. Jackson St.
