Obituary: Heather L. Giese

Heather L. Giese, 44, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1972, in Stevens Point, to Thomas and Cheryl (Albert) Giese, and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She attended Mid-State Technical College, earning degrees in Business Management and Cosmetology and worked as a security officer at Securitas in Louisville.

Her interests included traveling, attending concerts, planning special events and decorating.

Heather is survived by her mother, Cheryl Giese of Wisconsin Rapids; brother, Troy Giese of Wisconsin Rapids; fiancée, Pat Sjomeling of Louisville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Giese; sister, Amanda Giese; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Joan Giese; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Elsie Albert.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Dr. Carlton Andersen officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Visitation will be at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and again at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
