Arpin Man Dies in Tractor Accident

ARPIN — A 73-year-old man has succumbed to injuries after being run over by a tractor.

According to police reports, on Oct. 27 at 9:01 p.m., a call was made regarding an individual being run over by a tractor on the 6000 block of Richfield Dr. in Arpin. Deputies, along with first responders, arrived to find the man underneath the tractor with head and shoulder injuries.

The man, identified as Chris Jacobs, was pronounced dead at the scene. It was reported that the incident took place inside a storage shed. No other persons were identified as riding the tractor during the incident.

Assisting the Wood Co. Sheriff’s Department, were Arpin First Responders, and the Pittsville Fire Department.
