Book World to Close All Locations

APPLETON — Book World announced on Tuesday that it will be closing all 45 of its locations.
A mainstay for reading enthusiasts, according to a press release, the move comes due to a drop in customer count, and the departure of many mall anchor stores around the country. This includes the location in Wisconsin Rapids, located at 253 W. Grand Ave.
A liquidation sale for all 45 locations across seven states will start on Thursday until all inventory is gone. The time for these liquidation sales are expected to go to January 2018.
Book World has locations in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and North Dakota. These closures also include nearby Stevens Point.
