WISCONSIN RAPIDS — It’s always been said that music can change lives, but last week that was put into action.

Hosted by the Friends of Rapids Music (FRM), this benefit helped raise money for Jaeden Piller, who has cerebral palsy. Efforts for fundraising went to providing Piller with a new wheelchair-accessible van. FRM made their own donation of $500 towards such a purchase.

“Jaeden is one of the most faithful live music supporters in the area and FRM wanted to show our appreciation for that support by helping to purchase a vehicle that can easily transport Jaeden from one live music event to the next.” said FRM founder and local area musician Connie-Tomski. “He loves live music!”

Hosted at The Ridges, 11 different bands hit the stage in support of Jaeden in all genres from rock, country, folk, and more. According to Tomski, the event was more than just a regular benefit, as so many within the community came together to help and support Jaeden.

“Friends of Rapids Music was really happy to be a part of that benefit because it not only was helping someone who is a great life music supporter, but it was so many different community organizations coming together to do it.”
