WISCONSIN RAPIDS — David Gorski announced his intention to run for the 72nd State Assembly seat in
central Wisconsin today.

Gorski ran against incumbent Scott Krug in 2016 and picked up 43.6% of the vote, and this will be his second run.

“Over the last six years, the influence of out-of- state money is driving the laws being made in Madison,” said Gorski. “I stand for Wisconsin families, safe water, and a future for our children. “

Gorski is a Democrat and member of the Progressive Caucus. He is a retired counselor and drug-and- alcohol prevention specialist for the Nekoosa School System, living in the Town Grand Rapids.

Gorski’s official announcement event will take place at the Hotel Mead Atrium, 451 E. Grand Ave., on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 7:00 pm.

Gorkski listed investing in small business, strengthening unions, improving public education, protecting clean water and air, standing for women’s and LGBTQ rights, and overturning Citizens United as some of his major positions.

“It’s time for Wisconsin government to work for all of us.” said Gorski.
