For the City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department have made available multiple online forms to keep residents even safer in the area. This information will be released with every tax bill in the coming weeks, as well.

Here are the list of forms new to residents, provided by the WRPD:

Security Camera Form

This form allows residents and businesses to register their outdoor security cameras with our Department. With this information a GIS Map Layer will be made and available to Officers. This will show security cameras throughout the city.  At no time would WRPD have access to view or tap into these systems. In the event of a situation we can then make contact with such residents that we know have cameras and ask to review the footage for any evidence. The owners would always have the right to refuse any release of footage.

Vacation Watch Requests

This form will allow residents to submit a request for extra patrol when they are gone. Questions include such things as the basic time frame they will be gone as well as emergency contacts and information about their home. Once a request has been made (we are asking for 72 hour notice) an email with all the details will sent to those Officers working during that time frame.

Business Owner Contact Information Update

This form will allow business owners to update their contact information that is stored in our records. This information is used in emergency situations or whenever an Officer may need to speak with a representative from the business. This could be an Alarm Call, Fire Call, and Criminal Damage to their property etc. This is helpful to Officers by being able to contact someone right away.

To access these forms, head over to http://www.wirapids.org/department/?fDD=16-0 and check the left side menu.
