Riverkings Take on Chicago This Friday

City Times Staff
WISCONSIN RAPIDS — After an extended holiday break, the defending Midwest champion Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings are ready to kick their season in high gear.
The 13-6 Riverkings take on rivals Chicago Cougars on Friday night, and are looking to pick up some ground after losing three out of their last four games. Led by Austyn Quarters, who has 19 points on the season, and with the improved play in net by goalie Domenic Paciocco, the team looks to take an important home win against a 13-7 Chicago squad.
In addition, fans can support their team, and support a great cause, as a Toys for Tots drive will be held through the game. A donation of any toy will earn a fan a free ticket for a t-shirt raffle.
The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the South Wood County Recreation Center, 2711 16th St. South.
