WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Volunteers make a huge difference in our community every day. People give of their time and talents to help others. But did you know you can get a lot in return for your time as a volunteer?

Angela Loucks. (Contributed)

Angie Loucks, coordinator of the Volunteer Center for the United Way of Inner Wisconsin, will talk about volunteering and how it can benefit you at the November session of Let’s Learn Together, a free public speaker series. Loucks will speak at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at Hilltop Grand Village, 1400 24th St. S., Wisconsin Rapids. (Enter by Home Depot.)

Refreshments will be served, and there will be time for questions.

Learn about volunteer opportunities in the Wisconsin Rapids area and how easy it is to become a volunteer.
There is no charge to attend, and the public is welcome. Let’s Learn Together is a monthly speaker series that explores topics of interest in the community.

Most Let’s Learn Together sessions are recorded and air on Wisconsin Rapids Community Media at 9 a.m. Mondays and 11 a.m. Wednesdays on Solarus Channel 3 and Charter Channel 985. They also are available on demand on YouTube.
