Quilts of Valor Awarded to Vesper American Legion Post Members

VESPER — On Monday, Dec. 4 the Vesper American Legion Auxiliary Unit 520 presented three Quilts of Valor to three members of the Vesper American Legion Post 520.

The Quilts were presented following the joint legion and auxiliary’s Christmas dinner. These quilts were presented to Peter Arendt, Richard Olsen and Richard Zabel. Family members of the veterans were present to help honor their family veteran.

The mission of the Quilts of Valor is to cover all service members and veterans with comforting and healing quilts and as of the today 176,585 quilts have been awarded to veterans across the world through the efforts of the Quilts of Valor Foundation.
