WISCONSIN RAPIDS — With the official closure of the Rapids Mall right around the corner, local businesses have had to make the tough decision to relocate, or close down entirely. Below is a listing of all businesses and stores inside of the Rapids Mall, and their future plans.
Stores that have closed/Will be closing as of Dec. 24/End of December
-Bethesda Thrift Shop
-Evenson’s Hallmark
-Craft World (Marshfield location will remain open)
-Silvio’s
-Little Country Bakery
-Genius Onsite Phone Repair
-iSparkle Cupcakes
Stores that will or have relocated
-Junction City Clothing (moving to strip mall across from Copps, will open Feb. 1)
-Timeless Quality Imaging (moving to 650 E. Grand Ave. Expected opening in early January; date TBD)
-Rapid Rehab (moved to 2660 Eighth St. South)
-Karate America (moved to 1051 Baker St.)
-Pet Shop Aquarium (moving to 3111 Eighth St. South)
-Miracle Ear (moving to 1361 Eighth St. South)
Stores of Note:
-Bog’s Cranberry Specialties (closing physical location; will remain open through website and various vending events)
-Bath & Body Works (corporate office will not comment on the store’s future)
-The Craft Shoppe (will close physical location on Dec. 24; will still run as a Co-Op through vending and craft events. The Craft Shoppe is still seeking a possible new location)
-VA Clinic (will be included in YMCA/Boys & Girls Club plans)
-Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre (will be remaining in same location)
-Centralia Center (will remain as is)
