WISCONSIN RAPIDS — It’s the most wonderful time of the year — for skating.

The Witter Field Skating Pond and Warming House opened on Dec. 19, and will continue through the winter months. The pond is open as weather permits.

Hours for the warming house are listed below, though they do not reflect the park hours. A hockey pond is available at Robinson Park, though no warming house is available. Use of hockey sticks and pucks on Witter Field Pond is prohibited.

• School Weekdays: 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Weekends (Sat & Sun): 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Christmas Break: 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Holidays: Closed (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day)
