Wisconsin Rapids Police Department

False Alarm: At 8:57 a.m. a call was made to report a car on fire on the 2300 block of Plover Rd. However, authorities would find that the car in question was not on fire.

Cat Litter: At 12:05 p.m. a caller informed dispatch that she believed that her neighbor put lawn clippings and cat litter behind her vehicle on the 500 block of Eighth Ave. South.

Tree Tosser: At 3:41 p.m. a complaint was made concerning a neighbor on the 400 block of Eighth Ave. North who threw a Christmas tree into their yard. Police would find that the tree simply blew into their yard.

Snapchat Threats: At 6:08 p.m. police were informed of threats being made to a woman’s family on the 500 block of Eighth Ave. North through Snapchat.

Tasteless Prank: At 9:15 p.m. a call was made from a residence on the 500 block of Eighth Ave. North, in which the caller’s daughter received word that her family had been killed. Police would find that this was just a very bad prank.
