Rapid Fire: Your Top Five Weekend Events

Here is a rundown of weekend events happening in the area.

Friday, Jan. 12-13
Riverkings Hockey — 7:00 p.m.
-Catch some USPHL action, as the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings take on the Dells Ducks in a two-game homestand. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the South Wood County Recreation Center, 2711 16th St. South.

Friday, Jan. 12
Wes Brown Live — 7:00 p.m.
-If you’re looking to be a little bit country this weekend, head over to Hoozels to see up-and-comer Wes Brown. You can catch him live at 4010 Plover Rd.

Saturday, Jan. 13
Funkyard Dealers — 9:00 p.m.
-Get a healthy amount of funk in your diet, as Hollyrock’s will host the Funkyard Dealers, 112 Second St. North.

Saturday, Jan. 13
Black Knight — 9:00 p.m.
-If funk and country won’t do, check out Black Knight, as they play their brand of Classic Rock at Octane, 9047 Eighth St. South.

Saturday, Jan. 13
Ballroom Dance Classes — 7:30 a.m./6:00 p.m.
-Saints Peter & Paul Church will host weekly ballroom dance lessons through April. They are located at 1110 First St. North.
